Yes, pp2 is pin 2 on the DB-25.
As another test, I changed pp2=out0 to pp2=ptt and the LED lights on PTT. I
am fairly certain it is an error in my rpt.conf.

This is a line from my config in rpt.conf
Just a couple of things...
pp1 is pin #2 on parport. In the case you are looking at the wrong pin.
When pin is active, it switches to ground.
Digital ground on the port and frame ground are not always the same.
iobase=0x378 (278,378 & 3bc are valid lpt's)
One thing is clear. If you get this to work from a command line, you simply
have a command conflict or a type error somewhere.
I'm sorry that I'm not any better help from what I know.
If you shoot me your complete rpt.conf, I'll look it over.
